NOTE: This is not primarily a translation project and I cannot guarantee anything text-wise beyond what is already in mirror moon's patch.
The purpose of this patch is to insert the existing English translation into the PC version of Realta Nua. At the moment most of the changes in the dialogue and narration are not reflected. This includes the All Ages changes so scenes that replace the H-scenes from the original PC version are left untranslated and references to the H-scenes from the original translation have been carried over.
The H Patch inserts the H-scenes from the original PC version. Essentially it would be like a MUCH better version of the current RN Conversion patch. With this patch everything is fully translated so there's really no reason to use the original PC version for the Fate route.
If you find any problems, please report them here.

ReplyDeleteYes. From the perspective of this patch, to make English translation based on translation by Mirror Moon, removing DRM is not needed. Unless there is some reasons to alter exe, but so far I don't see any need in that.

No. The explosion CGs were not present in the PC version. Indeed, there are many additional CGs and effects in the RN.

Nope. There is added textual content in Realta Nua.
DeleteI've seen quite a few changes text wise, but so far they've all been pruning and rephasings. So far I haven't seen any actual "added" text. But maybe there's some later.

My question is: I have noted that the Realta Nua version to be seemingly different wth the CGs, especially the BGM. Waku Waku, With all the conversion updates and whatsoever, will the Realta Nua / PC Version have any significant differences? I would like to experience the novel at its best. Does that mean I have to download the Realta Nua version instead?
And if yes, I would honestly appreciate it if anyone could share a link with that. I've seen that XerBlade has uploaded some new Realta Nua videos. I love the changes.

DeleteMost of the scenes should end up identical. However pretty much every scene with major visual changes will be worse in the original PC version patch.
If you're going to be pirating regardless, there's really no reason to go with the original PC version.
Thanks for your reply Waku. And yes, I have the PC Version downloaded. I'm a little impatient to buy the FSN for PS Vita, which is why I came with this question. The only difficult thing is to find the Realta Nua PC version to download.

It's really confusing because these kinds of updates rarely work without overwriting or renameing something. Readme would be great
ReplyDeleteI really think everybody has one. You just have to find where is it (mis)placed. My first install (desktop) has it on the Programs folder for some weird reasons, must have changed the savedata directory upon installing. My 2nd install in the laptop, I have it on default (Documents folder).

Game works, it's in english and there are voices. patch.xp3 files are inside main folder (Fate) and there's the "savedata" folder as well but nowhere have I found "faterealtanua_savedata". Could you tell me what's inside "faterealtanua_savedata" folder? What kind of files and such, please.

You use the mirrormoon's patch? Maybe what you have is the original PC version - the one released in 2004.
DeleteFSN has 2 versions: original version and Realta Nua
To play the original version in english, you need the mirrormoon patch. Original version has H-scenes and has no Last Episode (aka to some, Saber's Epilogue). Realta Nua patch for this original version enhances one's experience in playing FSN by inserting realta nua stuffs (new CGs, Last Episode, etc.).
The version for THIS patch (the patch in this thread) is the one released in 2011 (i think). This version, called Realta Nua was released first in PS2 (2006) and PS Vita and finally, ported to PC as I said in 2011. Realta Nua version is an all-age version, has no H-scene but with added/enhanced CGs and BGMs.
Waku waku worked/still working on the Realta Nua patch for the original version. But, in THIS new project of him, he is making the English patch for the Realta Nua version ported to PC.
Fellow Anon, following my reply above, you can find the following in the faterealtanua_savedata:
Delete- data999.ksd
- datasc.ksd
- datasc.ksd.bak
- datasu.ksd
- datasu.ksd.bak
- .bmp files of your saves
*official patches should also be placed in the said folder.
You must have been mixed up ORIGINAL VERSION with Realta Nua patch and REALTA NUA VERSION in PC with this English patch.
The word 'version' that I used in this reply differentiates ORIGINAL Ver with H-scenes (18+) versus REALTA NUA Ver (all-ages).
Whereas Waku waku, in his post at the top of this page, used the word 'version' to differentiate REALTA NUA releases (as in Realta Nua for PlayStation 2 versus Realta Nua for PlayStation Vita versus Realta Nua for PC). Ok?
I don't know if this is permissible, but if you want the REALTA NUA Ver in PC, you can just torrent it.
The torrent usually has the cracks for the 3 routes (Fate, UBW, HF) and is in Japanese. It is with Waku waku's kindness that we can now play Fate route of Realta Nua for PC in English.
*I forgot to mention, the Realta Nua Version for PC has the FSN divided into three, that is the 3 routes (Fate, UBW and HF).
Thank you! That explained pretty much everything. I have that original version and patched that. I thought that original means no Realta Nua patch installed but it seems that it still counts as original if Realta Nua stuff comes later from a patch. Ok I'll download the Original Conversion patch instead of this.

I put the data.xp3 file and .exe file into the extracted Fate Folder.

When i try running the exe that came with the game, Securom pops up.
Can anyone please help me?
You have to delete the signs as '/' and '[ ]' present in the folder's name (not sure if the .exe file requires this too, but you should do it just in any case) or rename the game's folder as you want. I had the same problem and doing this I made it work. Hope I'd helped you.
DeleteI read somewhere online that there was a fate/good end that you had to see all 5 endings, and all 40 tiger dojos and then replay fate to see. And that this ending wasn't in the original PC version.

It is included and translated in the conversion patch. It doesn't require the Tiger Dojos, only the 5 endings. Your save data will work fine. You don't need to replay Fate, if you have all 5 endings the button for it will be on the title screen.

I realize this current project is meant to work with those separate PC realta nua PC releases of Fate, UBW, and HF. Is it just different sound effects and stuff? ReplyDeleteI copied the patch files to the faterealtanua_savedata file after deleting everything in it, but whenever I try to start one of the cracked .exes the data .ksd files somehow reappear and the VN text remains Japanese instead of English. Is there some way to stop the data files from reappearing?
ReplyDeleteThe files are supposed to reappear when you start the game. If it's still in Japanese you might have copied them to the folder wrong. Make sure that the .xp3 files are in faterealtanua_savedata itself and not a subfolder inside it. DeleteI'm trying to get the English translation patch to the Fate route to work. I've got Jack's files into the "savedata" folder the game uses, but it's not working. I've tried to rename the "savedata" file to "faterealtanua_savedata" but the game will just create another "savedata" file once booted up. I'm using the cracked Fate/stay night [Realta Nua] for Windows from Nyaa
