なんでも彼女は月面開発事業のボツマスコットキャラで、ひと目地球を見てみたいと言う。

てんで世間知らずな少女の行動に嫌気がさしながらも、運び屋は旅を始める。
時には略奪を繰り返す人間から逃げ、時には機械群が闊歩する危険地帯を通り抜け、 輸送依頼を果たそうとする。

少女は何度も人間になりたいと口にする。
空を貫くようにそびえる軌道エレベーターの先で、 アンドロイドは人間になれると言うのだが……？

Earth has been taken over by a group of machines that created a "singularity."
Humanity is forced to live hidden in the shadows.

One day a transporter receives an odd request.
Their cargo this time will be a girl android developed as a family member substitute.
She is unaffected by the Singularity Machines.

Despite being put off by the girl's naive behavior, the transporter sets out on the journey.
Sometimes it's human bandits they must evade, other times it's the machines they run from.
Undeterred by such dangerous situations, they press on to make the delivery.

The girl often talks about wanting to become human.
Their destination is a space elevator, so tall it appears to pierce the sky.
The rumor is that androids who make it to the top can be made human, but is it true?

This is a story of the distant future. An immense war left the world broken and torn.
Ashes covered the sky, the land was stripped of vegetation, and water dried up.
As a result, the human population drastically decreased.
The remaining humans huddled together to survive.

During this time, an emotions-capable robot known as a Phiroid woke up in a decayed factory.
Prior to the war, science created these human-like robots capable of feeling emotion.
As new partners for the humans, the Phiroids promised better lives for all of humanity.
However, upon waking, this Phiroid soon realized that its emotions were not functioning.
Its right hand lacked artificial skin and the mechanical parts showed how its production likely went unfinished.
This young male Phiroid had an innate desire to be with humans.
And so it began a journey to obtain its lost emotions, and wandered across this devastated world.
One day, the Phiroid was discovered by a young girl.
Thinking he was a human, she began to look after him.
She brought him to a small, but pleasant town.
While living with the young girl, the Phiroid slowly learned about emotions.

It is thirty years after the failure of the Space Colonization Program.
Humanity is nearly extinct. A perpetual and deadly Rain falls on the Earth.
Men known as "Junkers" plunder goods and artifacts from the ruins of civilization.
One such Junker sneaks alone into the most dangerous of all ruins -- a "Sarcophagus City".
In the center of this dead city, he discovers a pre-War planetarium.
And as he enters he is greeted by Hoshino Yumemi, a companion robot.
Without a single shred of doubt, she assumes he is the first customer she's had in 30 years.
She attempts to show him the stars at once, but the planetarium projector is broken.
Unable to make heads or tails of her conversation, he ends up agreeing to try and repair the projector ...
