Cassius

Amicus and Virginia's younger brother and Amicus's compe***** for the Adastran imperial throne. Would normally be second in line to his older brother, but Cato puts it up to a competition instead, due to Cassius's higher popularity. He is a populist and an isolationist who wishes to distance the wolves from the wider galactic community.

Is secretly in an intimate physical relationship with Alexios, later revealed to be romantic./

Reveals to Virginia that he plans to dissolve the Triumvirate city governments and centralize power around the imperial throne./

Publicly televises, during the second round of competition, a video clip of Amicus and Neferu having sex, having bugged Amicus's bedroom. He loses the competition anyway, due to the Triumvirates having learned of his plans to abolish their offices./

Ascends to the throne after Cato forces Amicus to throw the third round./

Revealed to have an inferiority complex and self-loathing due to his bone disease and to neglect by his late father. He privately breaks down in tears when he realizes he is not the rightful heir to the throne, and is comforted by Alexios./

After he is blackmailed by Marco and Virginia, he makes plans to remove Cato from his role as chief advisor and to abdicate the throne. Cato learns of his plans and poisons him, framing Marco for the deed before seizing power and dissolving the Triumvirates himself./

Is appointed to a government office by Emperor Amicus but prefers to spend his time with Alexios, having chosen to continue his relationship with the cat despite the latter's treachery./
