Rona Kestina is a young girl under involuntary service to the Dark Lord RedEye. She is the last living ancestor of the mage Kestina.

To ensure RedEye's allegiance to him, Kestina originally enchanted the immortal gem with a spell: RedEye would only remain alive so long as a member of Kestina's bloodline remained alive. Done in the hopes of inspiring fealty, after his transformation to a Dark Lord RedEye realized Kestina's descendants need not be comfortable, just living. The gem began keeping Kestina's offspring as slaves and bred them for countless generations up to the present. RedEye is not concerned with their happiness or safety (preferring they have neither), so long as they remain alive./
