Himiko Kaoru

Though her family is known for the brutality of its military victories, Kaoru is a shy girl who values learning and spirituality. She chose to become a shrine maiden rather than a warrior, baffling her family. She is trained in exorcism, and has learned a few combat spells at the insistence of her father, though she has never been in a fight to have to use them.

Always respectful and polite, Kaoru is a pleasure to be around, if a bit naive. She is by far the most sheltered of the group, having spent most of her teenage years on her studies. She is fascinated with the history of the empire, and is always willing to share her favorite tales. Despite the seriousness of the journey for which you’ve all been summoned, the part she most looks forward to is making new friends.
