One of the highest-ranking magistrates in the realm, Ryuichi truly looks and acts the part. Once famous for slaying demons and dark mages alongside the magistrate Jojima, Ryuichi now puts his energy into the politics of the Imperial court. He puts a great deal of emphasis on appearances, and tries to stay on the cutting edge of fashion. He sees navigating the intricate flities of court as an art, and it is one that he has mastered. He is a smooth talker with a seemingly endless list of powerful connections.

Despite his current focus on court politics, Ryuichi is still a magistrate, and can be a formidable fighter when the situation calls for it. He carries a pair of legendary blessed blades that have been passed down through his family, supposedly given to them by the gods, capable of cutting through even the strongest demon’s armor.
