In the distant future, humanity has learned how to upload memories onto physical VHS tapes called MemROM to usher in an era of digital immortality. MemROM has allowed memories to attain permanence with just two limitations: once uploaded, it cannot be copied onto another tape or retrieved by its user. With a one-time upload constraint, illegal markets run rampant to buy and sell coveted memories.

Across the urban sprawl of holographic high-rises, cyber augmentation, and scientists playing God, the line between human and android continues to blur.

Sabrya Kayal has lived her whole life in Reaverdrift, a washed-up town at the end of the NeoRail train line, working a monotonous job as a bartender. Her father's untimely death a few years prior has left her family in fragments, especially when his memories are nowhere to be found.

Sabrya believes his MemROM has been stolen, but it's hard to prove with nothing to go on but a hunch. In between piecing together what she hopes is the truth, mysterious strangers filter in and out, bearing links to the conspiracy she is already ensnared in.
