Where Poppies Grow

War has erupted once again between the countries of Elestrea and Schusenfrasse, two small countries who both fight for their survival in the global arena. Though they share the same tongue and relative culture - rampant nationalism and expansionism has driven both to war time and time again.

Conley Booker, a student and citizen of Elestrea, is drafted for the conflict. He sees this as an opportunity for adventure and to gain an identity similar to the characters in his cherished novels. Leaving his safe but monotonous life behind, he is funneled towards the front lines.

During his time at war, he grasps the ropes of responsibility as he is thrust into a leadership position despite his inexperience. After a pivotal and devastating loss, he wakes up on the battlefield to fine that his comrades are nowhere to be seen. Desperate to reunite with his friends and return home, he travels through enemy territory in hopes to find the new front line. This is a story about growth, adventure, and one man’s journey through war.
